While we strive to support a wide range of mental health needs, there are situations in which a higher level of care may be more appropriate. Our priority is ensuring that clients receive the treatment best suited to their needs. If our practice is not the right fit, we are happy to provide referrals to trusted providers and resources.

Nova Path Mental Health Counseling PLLC values diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and work collaboratively with clients pursuing a variety of therapeutic goals.

Treatment & Process

The intake process begins with an initial assessment designed to help us better understand your needs, goals, and concerns. During this session, we will review your history, discuss presenting issues, evaluate any safety concerns, explain practice policies, and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout the process.

Your first session is an opportunity to get to know your therapist and begin discussing your goals for therapy. Together, you will explore your concerns, identify priorities, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

We encourage open communication regarding any current therapeutic relationships. Depending on your circumstances, we may collaborate with other providers when appropriate and with your consent.

Absolutely. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process. If you feel another provider may be a better fit, we are happy to assist with transitioning your care.

Session frequency varies depending on your individual needs and treatment goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions and adjust frequency over time in collaboration with their therapist.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Protecting your confidentiality is a top priority. All sessions are conducted using secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms, and we adhere to all applicable privacy regulations. We also encourage clients to participate in sessions from a private, quiet space whenever possible.

If technical issues arise, please attempt to reconnect. If difficulties persist, contact your therapist using your agreed-upon method of communication. If necessary, your therapist may reschedule the session or discuss alternative arrangements.

Financial & Insurance

We believe that access to quality mental health care should be as accessible as possible. We understand that navigating insurance and payment options can be confusing, and we are committed to helping clients understand their benefits and available options.

Nova Path Mental Health Counseling PLLC accepts a variety of insurance plans. Please visit our Services page for an up-to-date list of accepted insurance providers.

The information we provide is an estimate based on the date of verification. Final responsibility for understanding coverage, deductibles, copayments, and benefits remains with the client. We encourage clients to contact their insurance provider directly to confirm eligibility and benefits.

We offer several payment options, which may include out-of-network benefits, private pay, and sliding scale services when available. Additional information can be found on our Services page.

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, uninsured or self-pay clients are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlining the anticipated cost of services.

The total cost of treatment depends on factors such as session frequency, treatment duration, and the specific services provided. The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to continue services. Clients may discontinue treatment at any time.

If actual costs significantly exceed the estimate provided, clients may be eligible to participate in a dispute resolution process as outlined under federal law.

If you have questions regarding fees, billing, or your Good Faith Estimate, please feel free to discuss them with your therapist.
